Crop Spraying

“Grasslands used to make up about 15% of the continent. But now it’s starting to shrink because of agriculture. People want to tear up and plow the grounds to grow stuff. But they’re tearing up all these grasses. So back in the day when all the homesteaders and settlers came out here, they kept trying to plow the ground, but the grasses were so thick it broke their iron plows. Until about the 1800s, when John Deere invented the steel plow, and that was enough to start tearing out the grassland. And from there all the grasslands started to shrink.”
