Prairie Dog Communication

“The live in family cohorts. They have a complex network of warning systems, some call it sophisticated language, to let everybody know when somebody different shows up in the town. When there’s a hawk, when there’s a coyote, when there’s a ferret, when there’s a human. They can communicate to each other about types of predators, their color, size, shape - as they try to keep each other doing well and keep everyone alive.”
