Bison in the Wilderness


"Pre-settlement times, is what I’d like to see. That’s mostly what you are seeing, I don’t think it would be much different than you might have seen in the late 1800s. We were essentially wild and still functioning as a natural ecosystem. Or maybe go back a bit earlier to when the bison were a full population. But with the grasslands, we didn’t have many invasive species, no one had tried to farm or fence anything. You can imagine it easily in the position we’re sitting in right now, if you look around."
